Troy Scott

Troy Scott, 62, beloved Son, Brother, and Uncle, was called to his eternal resting place on September 16, 2024. He entered this world on July 12, 1962, in Ponca City, OK, born to Ronald L. Scott and Vivian R. Stebens Scott.

Graveside memorial services will be held September 28th at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Jake Giger officiating at the Newkirk City Cemetery, with Miller Stahl Funeral home in care of the arrangements.

Troy grew up in Newkirk and graduated from Newkirk High in 1980. Troy also attended NOC and obtained his associate’s degree in 1982. He went to work for Houser Hardware after graduating High School and stayed after the Briggs family took over. When the store closed, he went to work for Brandt's Ace Hardware. Troy was an avid OU and Dallas Cowboys fan. He had a passion for gardening and listening to music. He also bowled in several leagues. He enjoyed spending time with his family and working outside. 

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his mother, Vivian Scott and sisters, Leah McCombs and husband Eric; Rhonda Stephens and husband Kevin; Nieces, Laci Bemo and husband Cody, Lacey Allen and husband Christian; nephew, Tyler McCombs and wife, Danielle; one great niece, Layla Drager and one great nephew, Weston Allen all of Newkirk, OK.

Troy was preceded in death by his father, Ronald.
