Lucille Kay

Lucille Kay, 92, beloved Mother, grandmother, and sister, was called to his eternal resting place on September 17, 2021. She entered this world on December 23, 1928, in Braman, Oklahoma, born to John E. and Ethel Little Hasselbring.

Graveside memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at the Newkirk City Cemetery with Pastor Dennis Wildman officiating.  Arrangements are under the care of Miller Stahl Funeral Service of Newkirk, OK.

Lucille married William Ray Perkins and to this union were born four sons.  Later, after his passing, she was blessed to find love again and married Billy Kay.  She came to Newkirk in 1941 and worked at the Newkirk nursing home for 25 years as a nurse’s aide. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and she attended the Christian Church of Newkirk. Lucille was a very dedicated mother and friend. She loved her family deeply.  Her favorite past times included traveling, fishing, and going for walks at Walmart always brought a smile to those who happened to see her there.  She was so caring many people called her grandma because they felt close to her.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her two sons: Dennis Perkins and wife Christina of Bartlesville, OK and Curtis Perkins and wife Sharron of Medford, OK. One brother; Elmer Hasselbring and wife Martha, two sisters; Patsy Rowe and husband Vernon, Helen Meloy, and husband Dennis all of Newkirk, OK, four grandsons, six granddaughters, several great -great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, husbands; William Perkins and Billy Kay, two sons; Terry Ray Perkins, and James Dewayne Perkins; three brothers; Merlin Hasselbring, Jon Hasselbring and Danny Hasselbring, two sisters; Colene Pappan and Betty Turner.
