Leonard Ewing, 79, beloved husband and grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place on December 16, 2021. He entered this world on April 17, 1942, born to Jacob and Gladys Ewing.
Leonard met the love of his life, Carolyn, and they were married on December 11, 1964 in Ponca City, OK. He was a truck driver for many years and he and Carolyn loved to travel and sight see whenever they could. He also worked in the oilfields in Libya for a short time.
Leonard is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carolyn, of the home. His sons, Pete Ewing of Ponca City, Michael Ewing of Ponca City, Joe Goddard of Newkirk, and Karol Kekahbah of Newkirk. Daughter Michelle Brandt of Newkirk. One sister, Shirley Alberty of Shidler, OK and one brother, Jake Ewing, of Ponca City, OK. As well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Gladys, and one son, Owen Ewing.
Viewing will be held at Miller-Stahl Funeral Home in Newkirk, OK on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 10 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Newkirk, OK with Pastor Mark Southard officiating. Burial will be followed after at the Newkirk City Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Liam Goddard, Chandler Stewart, Micah Kekahbah, Owen Ewing, Lakota Ewing, Ian Ewing, Easton Wright and Maycie Brandt. Honorary casket bearers are Christopher Jones, Derrick Fagg, Curt Scott, Kagen Nichols, Tom Nichols, and Jacob Voegele.
