Jay Albers, 75, beloved Spouse, Father, Grandfather (Grumpy), Brother, and Uncle, was called to his eternal resting place on May 15, 2024. He entered this world on November 7, 1948, in Ponca City, OK, born to John A. and Aileen B McFall Albers in Ponca City, OK.
Celebration of Life services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, May 23, 2024, in the Newkirk City Cemetery. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Miller Stahl Funeral Service of Newkirk, OK.
Jay grew up in Ponca City and graduated from po high in1966 and he attended college at NOC. Jay met the love of his life, Gloria Burgan and they were married July 11, 1978, in Miami, OK and they made their home in Newkirk, OK. Jay worked for Kildare CO OP for 32 years, retiring in 2010. He worked at Walmart for 10 years. Jay enjoyed playing Golf, Bowling, going to the casino, watching any sports, and talking Football. Jay was a past member of the Moose Lodge.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his spouse Gloria Albers of the Home, one daughter, Angie McGaha, and husband J.D. of Newkirk, OK, three grandchildren, Blayz McGaha, Ember McGaha, and Gentry McGaha, also surviving is one brother, LeRoy Albers of Newkirk and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jay was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Tiffany Albers, two brothers, Gerald Albers and Max Albers, one sister, Nancy Albers and three sister- in- laws, Margie Albers, Joy Albers, and Carol Albers.
