Frankie Charlene (Eastin) King passed away at the age of 89 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born on May 8, 1935, in Santa Rosa, New Mexico to Frank and Mabel (Pickett) Eastin. Frankie joined the Newkirk school system in the first grade after her parents noticed she was only speaking Spanish and she attended Newkirk schools until her graduation with the class of 1953.
Frankie's career in physical therapy was not just a job but a passion that she cherished until she could no longer work. Her commitment to the Newkirk community extended beyond her profession as she spent 10 years working in the school cafeteria and managed the Newkirk swimming pool during the summers. It was through these roles that Frankie touched the lives of countless children whom she adored seeing year after year.
Beyond her professional life, Frankie was an exceptional individual with a heartwarming personality. She was an awesome crocheter and took great joy in setting up multiple Christmas trees during the holiday season. Her love for Christmas shone brightly through her festive decorations. Frankie also found solace and happiness in working in her yard, where she poured her care and attention into creating a beautiful outdoor space.
One of Frankie's proudest accomplishments in life was her family. She deeply cared for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always showing up to support them wholeheartedly in their activities and endeavors.
Frankie is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Mabel Eastin, her husband Harry King, her daughter Sally Cavins, as well as two grandchildren. She is survived by her son Charley and daughter-in-law Shelly King; daughter Sue and son-in-law John Merhoff; daughter Shelly Gray; special friend and caretaker Edna Johnson; seven grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.
In remembrance of Frankie Charlene King's remarkable life, let us celebrate the love, dedication, and joy she brought to all those around her. May her legacy live on through the memories shared by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
